Wellbeing Services

Specialist Spiritual & Wellbeing Care

Music Life provides Specialist Spiritual & Wellbeing Care support and compassionate care for people of all ages, support needs and life stages.

This is Soul Care, and is caring for your heart and soul as defined completely by you.

Our Spiritual Care service offers personalised, inclusive support, honouring the diverse beliefs, traditions, and perspectives of every individual.

We are here to support you. We walk with and alongside you.

Taking time to care for yourself is essential.

We're here for you whenever you need us.

Our spiritual care service is inclusive, and person-centred, respecting all world views, beliefs and traditions, and what is most important to and defined by you.

Providing a safe environment, our team offer a compassionate, listening, supportive presence.

We support your spiritual care needs and wellbeing through holistic care and support, promoting quality of life and spiritual health and wellbeing for all people.

We walk alongside and together with you and with people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, abilities, spiritualities, connections, faith backgrounds, experiences, identities, and support needs.

We provide and promote inclusive spiritual care and support for everyone.

We support all aspects of wellbeing holistically including emotional, physical, social, and spiritual care needs.

We support spiritual care needs including spiritual assessment, development of a spiritual care plan, and provision of spiritual care and wellbeing support, as guided by you and individualised to you and your needs and preferences.

We proactively seek and support connection with specific spiritual supports for you as needed and requested. We work collaboratively in supporting spiritual care needs for people.

We provide care and support through deep listening, spiritual listening and embody a ministry of presence (here for and alongside/ with you).

Our approach prioritises kindness, humanity, respect, empathy and your individual needs and perspective; and which provides support in a way which embraces, honours and enriches your unique self and what is most important to and defined by you.

We use a person-centred, strengths-based, biopsychosociospiritual, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, transdisciplinary, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, transpersonal approach and spiritually sensitive (including multi-faith approach), integrated and holistic practice framework.

We honour the rich spiritual worldview, Ancestral wisdom across land, seas, waterways and skies; Ancestors and Dreamtime, and songlines of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia, and its importance to our National wellbeing.

We support all people, of all spiritualities, diversity and faith backgrounds.

We support multifaith and spiritual inclusion, and provide a multifaith and spiritually inclusive environment of care and support, making spiritual care and wellbeing support accessible to everyone.

Multifaith perspective respects and recognises spiritual diversity and inclusion and acknowledges and respects individual and spirituality diversity, in a way which seeks to promote peace, harmony, respect, social justice (equal rights) and social cohesion in our communities and globally.

We celebrate, welcome and support all cultural and ethnic diversity, LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, no faith, faith, multifaith, Indigenous spirituality (the Dreamtime) and spiritual diversity.

We align with an Ubuntu medicine approach which incorporates belief that we are defined by our kindness and humanity towards others including interconnectedness and collective wellbeing at micro, macro and meso levels (including spiritual)

                                 "I am because we/you are"

Verbal communication is not a requirement for receiving and accessing spiritual care support.

We support people with communication support needs (including less verbal or non-speaking individuals) or with complex support needs.

We ensure spiritual safety as paramount, as defined by you, and how you define your spiritual needs (irrespective of religious background) and how you would like to be supported.

This includes supporting reparation and healing of any Institutional (or otherwise) spiritual trauma that has been experienced individually or collectively, and as intersected with other trauma.

If requested or required, we can refer you to our other services and incorporate therapy support as additional to your spiritual care if and as needed or can refer you to other therapists or services, and/or can guide you to supports to assist you in your healing.

Our spiritual care is inclusive of wellbeing care, so that if at any point, you do not want to connect with spirituality in the moment, we can support other wellbeing needs as part of your overall support and care.

Every step is defined by you, listening to, alongside and in collaboration with you. You have control each step of your journey.

We are here to support you, 'walk' with and empower you.

Our team offer comfort, reassurance, support and connection as defined by you; whatever your background is, however you would like to connect,  however you define your own spirituality, and whether or not you have religious beliefs.

This can include conversations about simple connections that are deeply meaningful to you, as well as exploring life questions, challenges or difficulties and hardships that you have faced or are experiencing, promoting resilience and wellbeing, and connected care that you define and communicate.

Through shared conversations and connection, you may wish to express how you are feeling, explore topics such as your hopes or fears, examine your resources of support (internal and external) or make meaning of your circumstances. This exploration may sustain you through difficult times, enhance your emotional and spiritual well-being, and nurture your heart and soul.

Spiritual care draws on respect, trust, and understanding.

We are able to support your religious beliefs, traditions and rituals, and can also arrange visits from priests or ministers/ pastors, leaders of other faiths or for your spiritual care needs as required.

Additionally, music, creativity and holistic wellbeing supports can be incorporated to help nurture you as a whole person through your spiritual care and connection. Furthermore, therapeutic supports can be integrated as additional layers to your care and support if preferred or requested.

If you are unsure about what spiritual care is, we will help you explore what is most important to you, and how this may look and best support you in a way which is meaningful to you. This is individual to each person. This may include understanding your hopes, dreams, journey and life story, sense of self, resources, meaning and purpose, healing and reclamation of power, liberation, restoration, connections and relationships with others, sense of belonging, creating and connecting with moments that nourish and fill your heart and soul, recognition of love and that you are loved eternally etc.

We provide specialist spiritual support and care for individuals, carers and families, as well as professionals/ staff, Organisations and communities.

We can provide spiritual care and wellbeing support for Organisations, Schools, Aged Care Providers, Healthcare settings and hospitals, Disability service providers, Allied health service providers, Mental health service providers, or other services and communities as needed.

For people of a Christian or Catholic faith background:

Our Christian/ Catholic Spiritual Care Practitioners believe in the value of all people as made in the image of God and as loved by God. We walk with you on your journey with God. We provide Christ-centred care, as embodied presence walking outside the city walls, side-by-side alongside others, of all backgrounds with no discrimination.

Some people identify this role as Chaplain, Spiritual Care Practitioner, or Pastoral Care Coordinator, and in schools may be integrated as part of student wellbeing services.

We are not a Church-affiliated Organisation. We do not proselytize/evangelise or impose spiritual beliefs upon others, ever.
